The Best Surpise x

On the 29th June 2015 you arrived three weeks and one day before your due date. It was the best surprise. I went into labour around 3.30 am and you were born at 1.17 pm in the afternoon. I can’t even put into words how special meeting you for the first time was, but I can tell you that it was the best day of my life. As soon as you were born Tina (our midwife) put you onto my chest for cuddles. I have never been happier than at that moment. I had waited so long to be able to cuddle you. I remember telling your Daddy often during my pregnancy how I just wished I could have cuddles with you. You are so perfect Little Bear and I love you with all my heart. You wrapped your tiny fingers around my finger while you snuggled against my chest. Within the first couple of hours you were feeding without any problems. You weighed 7.9 lbs, were 50 cm long and your head circumference was 36 cm. Your apgar score was 10/10. I was so thankful that you were healthy and that I was able to take you home the same day. Nana, Poppa, Nana Rosetta, Poppa Don, Oma, Uncle Steve and Aunty Ayla, Ginga, Teresa, Alana and Mya all visited you while we were at the hospital. Once we arrived at home early evening Opa, Aunty Ariana and Oma Marie all came to see you. Everyone thought you were so cute and loves you so much. Nana had washed all of your clothes when I first went into labour so they were clean for you, but because my labour progressed faster than we thought we didn’t get to dry them so you came home in a cute little bear outfit. It wasn’t the outfit I had planned to bring you home in, but you looked so snuggly. Poppa took us back to Nana’s house in his car. Daddy and Uncle Dyllan also came in the car with us. Daddy set up your bassinet in our bedroom beside our bed. After everyone had, had cuddles with you we put you into your little bed to go to sleep. I’m so lucky that I get to be your Mummy. I promise I will always look after you no matter how old you are and I will love you forever.
