Week Forty Four

To My Little Bear
This week you went to your first concert and had your first ever ice cream! It’s the second week of the school holidays so I’ve had the whole week at home with you again. I love being able to spend extra time with you. On Friday I took you to Anika Moa’s concert for babies at the Whangarei library. There were so many babies and young children there that it was hard to even find a car park. I ended up parking across the road from Dominoes (the pizza place). When we got to the library the kids room was completely packed! I had you in your ErgoBaby carrier and because there was nowhere to sit down I just kept you in that. Anika Moa was playing her guitar and singing so I rocked and danced with you while we listened to her play. You had the biggest smile and loved seeing all of the other babies around us. I bought you her first CD a couple of days ago so we can listen to the songs in the car now too. On Saturday we went up to Kerikeri for a family day trip. We went to the markets first and picked up some fruit and vegetables. Then we took you to visit the pet shop. They had lots of different pets that we looked at. After we’d been to the pet shop we went and picked up some lunch from the bakery. We had a picnic lunch in the park. There was a big rock water feature that we took you over to look at, then we pushed you on the swing for a bit before we left. We had already decided that we were going to buy you your first ice cream because we wanted to take you to the dairy that sells the biggest ice creams in NZ! We ordered the second biggest ice cream in NZ—Death by Ice Cream. It had ten scoops of ice cream (1.9kgs). It was huge!! You loved your first taste of ice cream. There were so many yummy flavours. Once you and I had a bit Daddy had to try and finish it. I think he needs to keep practising though because he couldn’t eat it all! Maybe you’ll be able to eat more ice cream than Daddy once you’re a bit bigger. Love you so much little bear xx

Love from Mummy xoxo
