13 months

To My Little Bear

This month you started walking!!! At about 13 1/2 months you started taking a couple of steps from the coffee table or couch. Then a few days before you turned 14 months old you started walking longer distances. You're such a clever cookie and we're so proud of you Little Bear! I think you're pretty proud of yourself too. You get so excited when you start walking. You've started saying dad da, car, brmmm, nana and are trying to say poppa. Sometimes you get a bit mixed up with car and it comes out as 'gar'. This month you've been sick a lot and have had to have some time off day care. You've had hand, foot and mouth, conjunctivitis (more than once), chesty coughs and colds. You're always so brave when you're unwell too. On top of all that, you've also had lots of teeth coming through at once. You've had your two big front teeth up the top come through, as well as a third tooth up the top. You love anything with wheels at the moment. Nana bought you a little police car and little fire engine and you LOVE them. I think it's so cute how you keep putting them into the back of your Tonka truck. You would rather spend time outside, than inside now. It's getting a little bit warmer, but is still cold outside so I make sure that you're wrapped up all warm before we do something outside. We've been doing lots of sensory and water play activities - rainbow rice, citrus soup, play dough and cloud dough. You get excited as soon as we walk towards the garage door because you know it means we're going outside to feed the chickens (you don't like it so much if you find out that we're going in the car though because you don't like being put into your car seat). You call the chickens by calling out 'gaa gaa gaaa'. The chickens always come running to be fed. The three that we hand raised often come and see what you're doing outside when we're doing painting or other activities outside. They always try to eat whatever you are playing with - especially the cloud dough! You seem to think it's hilarious though. You really love those three chickens so much. Some nights you have showers with Daddy instead of a bath, but most nights you still have a bath. You always laugh when you do big splashes in the bath and like playing with your different bath toys.

Love from Mummy x
