14 Months

To My Little Bear

You're walking everywhere now!! When you get really excited you try to go so fast and often end up falling over. You're so cute Lukey Bear, which is lucky at the moment because you've started having little melt downs. If you don't like something you will flop your tiny body to the ground, then throw your whole body backwards so you end up lying on the floor. This often happens when we come back inside from being outside - you'd play outside all the time if you could I think. You're slowly learning how to pat Buttons nicely, but still forget sometimes. You love her sooo much. In a couple more weeks you will have a little Samoyed puppy to play with too. We were meant to get a puppy over winter, but it's probably better that we ended up waiting and now it's closer to summer too.

You have four teeth up the top now and two down the bottom (those were the first two teeth that you got). A new milestone this month has been learning to climb up onto the couch all by yourself. You're such a clever little cookie and you're so proud of yourself when you do it - it's pretty cute! You seem to be happier at day care now You had your first Kamo Tots disco at the end of September. The theme was Under the Sea so I ordered you a little shark costume and dressed you up. It was a bit too big for you, but you were the best little shark there. There were lots of balloons, streamers, colourful lights and loud music. Before the disco started we had a picnic dinner outside the hall. Both Daddy and I came with you. We gave Ferne a big bunch of colourful flowers too for taking such good care of you while you were in the baby area. Now you're in the big tots area.

We've baked chocolate chip scones lately and I gave you your own piece of scone dough to play with and explore. You liked pushing the end of the rolling pin into it. We baked your scone and it came out perfect. So perfect that Mummy never wanted to eat it so it's still in our cupboard. We also planted watermelon, sunflower and swan plant seeds. This summer we're going to grow watermelon on our bank at the edge of our section, plant a butterfly and bee garden with swan plants and bright coloured flowers; as well as hopefully make a sunflower hut for you. You're going to love summer this year. I can't wait to take you camping and to the beach more. When we go to Oma and Opa's you love playing on the trampoline with Uncle Henk and playing outside. Not long ago there were ducklings at Oma's. They were so friendly and came right up to you. I think someone must have been feeding them.

This month was also Father's Day. You painted Daddy a special painting (we also sent one to Aunty Ariana for her birthday in Holland when Oma Marie flew over). We also gave Daddy a little bear bed time story to read with you, some treats and scratchies. We spent the morning together as a family and made Daddy a big cooked breakfast. Then in the afternoon we visited Poppa, Poppa Don and dropped chocolates off for Opa too.

Love  you lots and lots Little Bear.

Love from Mummy xo
