You were so brave
on Monday when you had your six week check-up and injections. Dad came with us
because I felt so bad taking you for your injections, even though I know it’s
so you don’t get anything that will make you really sick. I came into the doctor’s room with you for
your check-up. The doctor weighed you, measured your height; checked your hips
and eyes. She said you were all healthy. When it was time for you to have your
injections I let Dad take you in and I waited outside. I knew that if you
started crying, that I would start crying too and I didn’t want to hold you
while the nurse injected both of your little legs. Your Dad said you only did a
small cry and that you did really well. On the way home we stopped Storytime
and bought you a present for being so brave. You got a cute bath book about
penguins, a CD that tells you the story of Perky the Pukeko and a baby maraca
that you’ll be able to hold yourself soon. Your Wiggles CD also arrived later
that day so we’ve been singing songs in the car together. I think my favourite
song is ‘Murray had a Turtle’. Dad laughs at me when I sing songs in the car to
you. You’ve also been taking a lot more interest in watching the TV too. We
watched Pepper Pig and on Saturday morning you watched Guess How Much I Love
You with Dad, while I went to the markets to buy fruit and vegetables for next
week. On Sunday I went to Alana and Teresa’s baby shower. It won’t be long and
you will have two new little friends to play with. You stayed cuddled up at
home with Dad. Oma and Opa also came to visit you Sunday afternoon. Love you
lots Little Bear xo
