Week Ten

This week we visited Nana Rosetta and Poppa Don a couple of times. They looked after you while I went to pick up your new car seat that Poppa bought for you. It won first place in the OH Baby Magazine awards so I’m sure it will be a really good seat for you when you’re a little bit bigger. It had $100 off the original price so we decided to buy it now and put it away for when you grow out of your capsule. On Tuesday Daddy and I went to visit Kamo Tots. I’m still sad that you have to go to day care for a couple of days next year, but Daddy says it will okay and that it will be good for you to mix with other children. I just wish we could afford for me to stay home with you next year too. I’m sorry I can’t Little Bear, but I promise we will make sure you’re well looked after there. Kamo Tots has a special infant area so you will be safe while you’re really little. They also have a pet bird, a little area for eating your lunch and a big outdoor area. The principal at my work (Matarau School) has said that he will let me work three days, instead of five next year so that means I still get to spend two week days with you at home. I’m happy that I can still be home part time to help you learn new things and have adventures together. On Saturday morning I went to the markets to get us fresh fruit and vegetables while Daddy looked after you at home. It’s still very cold in the mornings so it’s better for you to stay at home. Maybe once it’s summer we’ll all go together some mornings. After I got home Daddy took you to visit Oma and Opa. Once you both got back we all went into town to get some new things for our home. We had a quiet weekend because you’re going through a leap and have had lots of wind too. Mummy and Daddy hate seeing you sad. It makes us really sad too. We’ve been giving you lots of cuddles and I’ve been getting up in the night to feed you so you’re happier when you’re sleeping. You’ve still been giving us smiles when you’ve been feeling a bit better. We love your little smile so much! We think that you’re starting to try to giggle too. It won’t be long and you’ll be able to. I took some photos of you and Daddy reading a story together on Sunday night. You were smiling lots and love listening to stories. We read lots of books together when Daddy is at work during the week. This week you also met Uncle Harry. He thought you were a lovely baby. I hope you start to feel better soon Little Bear. We love you so much xo

Love from Mummy xx
