Week Fifteen

This week we did the Town Basin loop walk two times again. On Tuesday we did it with Poppa and Gail; on Thursday we did it by ourselves for the first time. The loop walk is 4.2 kms and we did it together in 44 minutes. Tuesday night we had dinner at Oma and Opa’s house. Everyone gave you lots of cuddles and loved having you there. We drew names out for our Secret Santa game too. Because Oma and Opa will be in Holland for Christmas we are having an early Christmas together. Wednesday was our first day at SPACE. You got to meet lots of other babies, but became a bit overwhelmed. I think you found it hard not being able to have your morning nap as easily as if you were at home. I fed you and changed you, then cuddled you until you went to sleep. Once you were asleep I put you in your buggy and reclined your seat right back so that you could have a nap. You were such a good little boy. Hopefully next week will be a bit easier for you. We bathed the duckies in the bathroom this week. I put you in your capsule, because you hate being in your rocker and then the ducklings splashed around in a large plastic container. They even splashed you a couple of times. You ended up falling asleep in your capsule while the ducklings finished their bath. They’re still living in our garage in a box that Daddy made. They have two heat lamps, but soon they will spend their day outside in the sunshine and only come inside at night. Sunday was Daddy’s birthday. He turned 27 on the 18th October. Lots of people came around in the morning to watch the All Blacks play in the quarter final against France and to say happy birthday to Daddy. I put you in your All Blacks outfit to watch the game. You spent most of the game asleep on our friend Adam. You’re so cute Lukey Bear. After a big cooked breakfast and the All Blacks winning their quarter final we lit the candles on Daddy’s birthday cake. He cut his cake and made a wish. I don’t know what his wish was because you’re meant to keep it a secret. Daddy had a really happy birthday with his friends and family. He was really lucky because he got to share his special day with you for the first time. After all of the visitors during the day we got McDonalds for dinner (Daddy’s favourite) and had a quiet night together with our little family. Love you lots Lukey Bear x

Love from Mummy xx
