Week Sixteen

This week we went for a walk around the Town Basin loop with Katrina on Tuesday. On Wednesday we had SPACE again. You love looking around at all of the other babies, but are still getting used to being at SPACE. It was our second session today. Later in the week Plunket visited. You now weigh 6.69 kgs and are 66 cm long. I showed the Plunket nurse what happens when you do tummy time on the floor and how much you hate it. You were really cute and kept your head on the floor. Then the nurse asked me to put you on my chest, while I lay on the floor. When I did that you lifted your head up a bit. She said that she wasn’t worried because you were happy to do it on my chest. We will just keep practising. Thursday morning I took you down to Matarau School for Calf Club day. All of the children that I teach and the teachers were really excited to see you. You ended up sleeping in your buggy most of the time we were there, but we walked around and looked at the calves and lambs. One day when you’re bigger you might get to take a pet to Calf Club Day. Daddy, Uncle Dyllan and Uncle Henk all went down to Auckland to Armageddon on Saturday while we stayed at home. Then on Sunday we watched the All Blacks play France in the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup. The All Blacks won the semi-final - 62-13. After the semi-final we got ready to go to Nana Rosetta’s and Poppa Don’s 60th wedding anniversary. I made fruit kebabs and a vegetable platter for their party. It was a really special day and I’m so happy that you could be there with us. You looked so cute in your new shorts and shirt. When you got tired we put you to bed in your portable cot in Nana Rosetta and Poppa Don’s bedroom. Then we set up the cuddly blanket with your toys on it in the lounge for you to play on. You were such a good boy and everyone loved meeting you. Aunty Dianne and Uncle Russell gave you some new clothes. Aunty Dianne also brought you a koala and a kangaroo all the way from Australia. We love you so much Lukey Bear xo

Love from Mummy xx
