To My Little Bear
This weekend we took you to the Christmas Festival in the Park at Toll Stadium. There are lots of music, people performing on a big stage and lots of families having picnics and dinner in the park. I packed a picnic for Daddy and I; I fed you before we left home and then again as soon as we got back home. You loved rolling around on the blanket we lay out on the grass and playing with your toys. We bought you a glow stick and a light up stick. Daddy calls it your lightsaber; like Luke Skywalker has in Star Wars. It has different settings and flashes different colours at different times. It was still light when we had to leave so we let you play with it in our hallway at home. We closed all the doors to the bedrooms and lounge to make it dark. You love anything that lights up so seemed to have fun with your new lightsaber before bedtime. Before we went to the Christmas Festival in the Park we took you into The Warehouse and bought a soft toy to put in a gift bag with a little Christmas outfit I already had. Together, we put it under the Salvation Army Christmas tree at the Christmas Festival. All of the presents that people donate go to children in Whangarei who otherwise would not get presents on Christmas Day. I think this is a new Christmas tradition for our little family. It’s important to always be kind and give to others who may not be able to have the special things that our family is lucky enough to have. When you’re a bit older you can choose a present to donate to another child to help make their Christmas that little bit more magical. Love you so much Lukey Bear xo
Love from Mummy xo
