To My Little Bear
You had your first week at day care this week. I tried to be a brave mummy and not get upset when I left you for the first day. It was a bit hard because it’s the longest I’ve ever had to be away from you. I wish I didn’t have to go back to work, but I promise we will still have time to do lots of special things together when I’m not at work. Ferne took really good care of you and most days she will put photos of what you’ve been doing at Kamo Tots into your notebook so you can share them with us when we take you home at the end of the day. This weekend was a long weekend so we had our first mini holiday away at Whananaki Holiday Park in one of the cabins there. It’s where I used to go camping with my family ever year when I was a child so it was special to be able to take you back there. We took you for a walk across the Whananaki bridge, explored rock pools, had a picnic beside the estuary and went to the beach. We even found a little blue penguin in a rock pool. We tried to save him because he had been hurt. You still aren’t too sure about the ocean or sand, but love being outside - especially if you can play under a tree and watch the leaves. While we were at the Doc camp beach exploring rock pools I found you a baby paua shell in the sand so I’ve brought that home for you. We’ve booked a week in a cabin there for next Christmas. You’ll be 18 months then! We can’t wait to have more adventures with you Lukey Bear xo.
Love from Mummy xox
