To My Little Bear
This week has been a rainy week. We’ve been stuck inside a lot of the week and you haven’t been very happy with your teeth trying to come through. There are still no teeth yet though. We had dinner with Nana Rosetta, Poppa Don and Aunty Dianne last night. The adults had burgers and I made you kumara and pumpkin, as well as peach and banana for dessert. You definitely love fruit more than your vegetables. You screwed your face up when I gave you your vegetables, but still ate some of them. We’re so proud of you. Peach is a new food that I’ve started giving you this week. I’ve been buying fresh fruit and vegetables from the growers market on a Saturday morning to make your meals; then freezing them in ice cube trays. The other day when I gave you lunch at Nana Rosetta’s and Poppa Don’s you kept screaming while I put more food on the spoon. I had to keep telling you ‘no’ and then waiting for you to stop screaming before I gave you more lunch. You didn’t like waiting even a second for the spoon to be refilled. This week you’ve also started sucking your left thumb more. I wonder if you’ll eventually start sucking your thumb all of the time, instead of your dummy. You still love your dummy at the moment though. Tomorrow night we’re going out to Tutukaka for Alana’s birthday. Baby Cooper and Isla will also be there. I’m sure Mya will be too. Hopefully the rain goes away, but I think there’s meant to be more thunder storms! The ducks escaped this morning too. I thought their quacking was extra loud when I woke up. It was because they were outside our bedroom window so Daddy had to go and fix the fence before he went to work. You’re cuddled up beside me and are a bit upset with your teeth again so I’m trying to help you to chew on your Sophie giraffe to help them. Think it will be bed time soon Little Bear. Daddy and I love you so much x looking at hands
Love from Mummy xx
