To My Little Bear
Happy 6 months Lukey Bear! You had your first trip to the beach this week! Daddy and I took you out to Church Bay at Tutukaka. I was so excited about taking you down to the water, but you weren’t impressed at all. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day, but I think the water was still too cold for you. You love splashing in the bath where the water is a lot warmer. Daddy pushed the umbrella into the sand and set up your blanket so you could play on it and keep out of the sun. The wind blew the umbrella away at one point and Daddy had to run down the beach after it. That was pretty funny! It was a bit tricky keeping you off the sand and stopping you from putting sunblock and sand in your mouth. We’ll have to let you have a play in the sand next time we take you to the beach. You met Tim’s baby this week too. They came to visit and you tried to hold Asia’s hand – it was really cute. We took a couple of photos of you together. You’re four months apart. You always seem to really like being around other babies. You’ve started lifting your knees up when you’re having tummy time now; another step closer to being able to crawl. I wonder if you will be crawling for my birthday in April. You are trying so hard. You can push up on your arms too, but not at the same time as when you have your knees up. There’s been lots of rainy weather so we haven’t done much else. I did book us a long weekend away at Whananaki for anniversary weekend so hopefully it’s sunnier at the end of this month. It will be our first mini holiday away together. Love you lots Lukey Bear xo
Love from Mummy xoxo
