Week Forty One

To My Little Bear

You’re commando crawling everywhere now! You’re getting faster every day. We’re so proud of our cheeky little monkey. You will get up and rock on your hands and knees, but then will flop down onto the floor to move. We had our Plunket visit on Tuesday. The Plunket nurse came out to our home. You weigh 8.91 kgs now and are 75.5 cm tall. I took you to the park in Kamo so that you could have a turn on the swing. I thought they had a proper baby swing, but it was more for toddlers so you were still a bit small. I sat on the ground and held you most of the time while I pushed you gently. You love swings. We might have to get you one for your   birthday to hang up in one of our trees. While I was at home during the week we also made a big hut in the lounge with the couches and a duvet. I put the mat inside. You happily looked at your books in your hut for a while. I also made you a nature treasure basket to explore this week. It had a mix of different things in it - shells, pinecone, an orange, lime, stones etc. One of your little friends from SPACE—Jessica has an     exersaucer too. They blocked up the holes in the bottom of the           exersaucer so they could put water in the tray for her feet to splash in. I tried this with your exersaucer, but you didn’t seem to notice the     difference and played in it like you normally would. It was late in the   afternoon though so you may have been tired too. On Wednesday we had a picnic lunch at the Whau Valley Dam with Mya, Isla and Cooper. You love Mya and want to follow her everywhere! I think she liked playing with you too. I sat you in your Bumbo seat to eat your cheese sticks and fruit I’d cut up for you. Then you played on the blankets with Mya and Cooper. Isla is still a bit too small to play yet. It was the perfect morning sitting beside the water watching you all play together. It’s still so warm for April. The seasons are changing. When I was a little girl it really felt like winter by the time it was April. Love you Little Bear.

Love from Mummy xox
