To My Little Bear
I had the best birthday this week because I got to share it with you for the first time (the first time with you outside my tummy anyway). I love the painting that you made me with Daddy. Yesterday I got Daddy to hang it up by our kitchen, in the living area. I had thought about hanging it up in my bedroom beside the bed, but I like that I’ll get to see it more out here. It’s such a colourful canvas and I’m so proud of you doing it all by yourself. All that Daddy did was squirt the paint onto the canvas for you. Ferne also helped you to do another birthday painting for me at Kamo Tots on Friday. She printed out photos of you painting your picture and stuck them on too. Yesterday I got your picture laminated and have put it on the fridge. I love having your art displayed in our home. You seem to really like painting now! I left work straight away at 3 pm on my birthday because I wanted to pick you up early, but when I got to Kamo Tots you were still sleeping. I didn’t want to wake you so I went and picked up our groceries and then came back to get you. You had woken up while I was gone and were playing with another little boy and grabbing a toy off him haha. When you’re a bit bigger you’ll learn how to share toys better. As soon as you heard me you turned around with a big smile and crawled over to me. I picked you up and gave you a big cuddle. You make me happier than anyone ever has. You’re so cute and have such a big heart. You went to bed before we did my birthday cake, so I saved the other birthday cake that Daddy bought and we did it together the next day so that you could have some too. I think you spent more time playing with the chocolate cake than eating it though. Thank you for making my birthday so special Little Bear. I love you with all my heart xx
