Week One

Happy one week Little Bear! Tina came to visit us on Monday. You have only lost 90g, which is really good so now you weigh 7.6 lbs. On Tuesday a box of presents arrived for you from everyone that I work with. A baby nappy bag and cute bumble bee outfit also arrived by courier for you from your Aunty Donna and Courtney. You’re going to look so cute in it once you’re a bit bigger. It’s the middle of winter so Daddy has been lighting the fire at Nana’s house to keep you warm during the day. We’ve been using your play gym and rocker, but you still prefer to be cuddled up with one of us. You’ll stay on the play gym for a few minutes until you get upset. Then I pick you up again. You do seem to like the birdy that makes the singing sound though. I still think you’re a bit small for your baby rocker yet. You don’t seem to like being strapped into it so we haven’t used it much. I put you in the cream knitted cardi, mittens and hat that Nana Rosetta knitted for you and you look so cute! On Saturday Daddy and I had to go into town to look at carpet for our new home. I hadn’t been away from you like that and I ended up crying in the car while Daddy drove into town because I missed you so much. You’ve been growing in my tummy since last October and I’ve been able to feel you moving around in my tummy for the last seventeen weeks so it just doesn’t feel right when I don’t have you with me. I felt bad for leaving you, even though we weren’t gone very long. I stopped at Pumpkin Patch on the way home and bought you some new clothes with the voucher from my work. You’ve been making the cutest animal noises when you sleep and I just love your button nose so much. Thank you for choosing me to be your mum. Love you with all my heart.
