Week Two

I love the cute little smile you gave me when I told you that you’re two weeks old today, even if you can’t really smile yet. It looked like one. I can’t wait until you can smile properly and giggle. We have just been staying at home at Nana’s house because you’re so little and I don’t want you to get sick or cold by going out. I did a bit of online shopping this week. I bought you a Jelly Cat bunny and a Gro Egg. The Jelly Cat bunny is for you to have your photo taken with each month for the first year so we can see how much you grow and change each month. The Gro Egg has an owl cover that goes over the top of the egg. The owl is the perfect night light, but also tells us what the temperature in your room is. That way we know if it is warm enough for you. We have a little heater in our room to heat up the room and keep it toasty warm for you. On the 14th July Daddy and I created prints of your tiny feet and hand. You were only fifteen days old. I have special photo frames to put them in and will treasure them forever. I love having cuddles with you on my tummy. You’re so small! I call them caterpillar cuddles because you’re curly like a little caterpillar. On Friday a photographer came to Nana’s house to take newborn photos of you. You don’t like being naked and cry every time so we left your clothes on for most of them. It took about three hours because you kept getting upset, but we still managed to get some really special photos of you. I can’t wait until we get all of our photos back.
