To My Little Bear
On Wednesday we were invited to the opening of the new maternity unit at the hospital because they’ve used one of your scan photos in the new unit. When I had my maternity photos done I asked the photographer to peg your scan photo in the Pohutukawa tree with my heart peg. Then she took a photo of it. That’s the photo that is now displayed on the wall in the hallway up in the new maternity unit. I love that your photo is up there. It’s pretty special and one day you’ll be able to have a photo in front of it with your baby brother or sister. This week we also had a picnic at the Quarry Gardens with our new play group friends (Megan and Katinka, Teresa and Isla, Alana and Cooper and Kylie and Eli). I haven’t been there for years, but it was the perfect spot to take you. One day we’ll have to go for another visit and walk up to the waterfall. You were all so cute the way you were playing and stealing each other’s toys to chew on. You’ve started turning around when you’re on your tummy lots now and rolling all the time. You brought home your very first painting this week from day care. I found a white frame in my wardrobe and framed it so we can display it in our living area. I promise I will treasure your painting forever Lukey Bear. Love you so much xo
